About the Author
Barry Tomkins grew up in England and later moved to the United States. Since 1980 he has been teaching writing and literature - including Science Fiction - at Hudson County Community College in Jersey City, New Jersey. He has recently begun writing science fiction set in the 24th. century, in an imaginary region struggling to remake itself after the overthrow of a repressive religious regime. His first novel, The Wall, features a young woman struggling to keep her new baby safe during an alien occupation of a rural village. In his second novel, Deem, a poet tries to discover the identity of a terrorist whose bombings are disrupting the calm of a sheltered and prosperous city-state.
