About the Author
Helen Dean Fish was both author and editor of many popular anthologies and picture books for children.
Illustrator BioDorothy Lathrop began illustrating children's books in 1919, and was awarded the first Randolph Caldecott Medal for Animals of the Bible in 1938. She went on to win the Eyre Medal of the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts in 1941.
