About the Author
Diana Schwarzbein, M.D., has achieved the reputation as the cutting-edge expert on hormone replacement therapy and reversing type II diabetes through her groundbreaking nutritional and lifestyle program. She graduated from USC medical school in 1985 and remained at Los Angeles County USC Medical Center, completing both a residency in internal medicine and a fellowship in endocrinology. In 1990, she accepted a position at the prestigious Sansum Clinic in Santa Barbara as chief of The Department of Endocrinology. In 1993, Dr. Schwarzbein founded The Endocrinology Institute of Santa Barbara. Her practice specializes in endocrinology, metabolism, diabetes, osteoporosis, menopause and thyroid. Her reputation as an expert on preventative medicine metabolic healing and hormone replacement therapy is world reknown. Evelyn Jacob is a chef, artist and former co-owner of the New York Bagel Factory in Santa Barbara, California.
