Gwen McKee, a native Louisianian, has had the good fortune to enjoy New Orleans cooking all her life. Born and raised in Baton Rouge, Gwen considered "going to New Orleans" the ultimate treat, always a wonderful eating experience whether it was in the home of her grandmother or an aunt or cousin, or dining out. She has written The Little Gumbo Book and edited Best of the Best from Louisiana, two of the most popular cookbooks in Louisiana. As director of her own publishing company (Quail Ridge Press), she personally edits all cookbooks, both editorially and "tastefully" in her favorite office-the kitchen.
