Review
"Georgia Sarianides has owned and operated several successful restaurants in her career, as well as running her own cooking school. For the past five years she has hosted the cable television show 'Cooking with Georgia.' In 'Nosthimia!: The Greek American Family Cookbook,' Georgia has distilled the best of what she knows about Greek cuisine into a compilation of truly mouth-watering dishes. From My Mother's Village-Style Veal Soup (Horiatiki Soupa); to Aromatic Grilled Chicken with Wine (Aromatiki Kota sta Karvouna); to Calzone Stuffed with Meat (Kaltsounia Gemista me Kima), Nosthimia! offers 185 recipes that are truly delicious (nosthimia)!"
Midwest Book Review, October 2004
"Now that the Olympics are over and 'My Big Fat Greek Wedding' is in reruns on television, it's time to pick up a copy of 'Nosthimia! The Greek American Family Cookbook' by Georgia Sarianides ($17.95, Capital Books, Dulles, VA). With more than 185 recipes, the author, born in Greece, but now an American citizen, brings an extensive knowledge of her subject and combines it with American ingredients and lifestyles. A graduate of The Culinary School of Athens, the author has owned several successful restaurants for some 28 years and has had a cable television show, 'Cooking with Georgia,' for the past five years. I know nothing of Greek cuisine, but just perusing the book was enough to make me hungry for Moussaka with chicken, baked fish Spetsiota, and Calzone with spinach and Feta filling."

"Sarianides, along with her daughter Despina, will introduce her third cookbook 'Nosthimia! The Greek American Family Cookbook.'
Nosthimia is the Greek word for 'delicious.' They will share their expertise in preparing authentic Greek recipes that emphasize light, healthy fare.
Sarianides made a name for herself while working at her family restaurant, Norwood Seafood, until 1990. While working at the restaurant, she noted that so many customers came in for the daily Greek specials that the restaurant often ran out of food. Now, Sarianides and her daughter have their own cable TV cooking show that is broadcast in 17 states."
