About the Author
Veteran sports writer CHRISTIAN SERPAS was born in New Orleans and grew up in adjacent St. Bernard Parish, where he has resided for most of his life. At age 15 he interviewed both the Pittsburgh Steelers and Minnesota Vikings, combatants in super Bowl IX, which resulted in his first published newspaper article, in the St. Bernard News. Since then, his feature stories have been published in a number of newspapers and magazines, including a series of articles on the history of professional football. In 1985 he co-hosted a local television show, "TV Open House," with his father, Paul F. Serpas. In 1990 he wrote and hosted a regularly scheduled New Orleans radio show titled "Saints Snapshots," which became a popular feature among Saints fans.
