About the Author
Andrew Jefford has written on drink for the London Evening Standard, The Times, the Guardian, and Decanter and WINE magazines. Through his work for "'Liquid Companion"' "'The Food Program,"' and other programs on BBC Radio Four he has become a familiar voice on British radio. His books include 101 Things You Need To Know About Wine and The New France, and for Ryland Peters and Small, After-Dinner Drinks. He is currently preparing a book about the Scottish whisky island of Islay. Andrew has received five Glenfiddich Awards, four Lanson Awards, and a Sony Bronze award for radio work.
