About the Author
Alma Lee was born in Edinburgh, Scotland, daughter of a bagpipe-maker. After moving to Canada in 1967 Alma worked as the executive director of the Writers' Union of Canada then head of the Writers' Trust and now she is the artistic director of the Vancouver International Writers' Festival, which she founded in the 1980s. She loves single-malt whiskies.
